APPGI Annual Report 2008/09

On Thursday 8th July the All Party Group met to hear from expert speakers on the subject of funding and financing the future infrastructure requirements of the United Kingdom.

The first meeting of the All Party Group post-election took place on the 14 June 2010.

The All Party Parliamentary Group on Infrastructure reports on its inaugural year including membership, events, site visits and future programme.

Members of the All Party Group on Infrastructure and organisations involved in planning approval for major infrastructure projects held a discussions about the developing role, remit and challenges for the new Infrastructure Planning Commission.

The All Party Parliamentary Group on Infrastructure hosted a series of well-attended receptions at the Liberal Democrat, Labour and Conservative party conferences during September and October.

The All Party Parliamentary Group on Infrastructure will be hosting receptions at all three main party conference events during September and October 2009.

On the 16 July the All Party Parliamentary Group on Infrastructure made a visit to the site of the 2012 Olympics, to give parliamentarians a first hand view of the impact this project will have on the city of London.

On 14 July the All Party Parliamentary Group on Infrastructure held its annual summer reception.

Members of the All Party Group on Infrastructure and aviation experts discussed the future of airport infrastructure in a meeting at the House of Commons.

APPG Members embarked on a tour of the Crossrail across central London with Crossrail Chief Executive Keith Berryman.
